French dish to wow your friends.
Ingredients (for 4-6 people):
New Zealand Half Shell Mussels
1 chopped garlic clove
2 chopped shallots
Knob of butter
100ml white wine
120ml double cream
Handful of parsley leaves
Begin by defrosting the mussels.
In a large pan, on medium heat fry up the garlic, shallots, butter, parsley, thyme and bay leaves.
Add the mussels and wine, turn up the heat and cover with a lid for 3-4 minutes.
Remove the thyme and bay leaves, add the cream and remove from the heat.
Serve in bowls with fresh bread.
