Celebrate with Fried Chicken.
Ingredients (makes 2):
Jumbo Chicken Wings
1 Egg White
All-purpose Flour
4 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp white pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp mustard powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp ground black pepper
½ tbsp of oregano
½ tbsp thyme
½ tbsp of oregano
Method
- Mix together the flour and all the spices.
- Cover the chicken wings in the egg whites and begin to coat in the spiced flour mixture. Pat the excess flour off the wings, the extra flour will not make it crisper, it’ll just fall off when frying.
- Place the coated wings in the fridge to rest for a minimum of 5 minutes, the longer you leave them the crisper your chicken will be.
- Fry the wings in batches for 12-14 minutes.
- Let the chicken drain on paper towels and serve hot.
