Triple Eight Supplies are looking for a reliable multi-drop delivery driver to join our fast growing, close-knit team dropping goods off across the South of England.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR TEAM
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Needed
We’re looking for an applicant with at least some driving experience, as well as a Class 1 or Category C1 licence.
RELIABLE WORK, WITHOUT BURNING OUT
Each member of our delivery team will work 4 days per week, from Monday to Thursday. Your shift will start around 7am and will finish at about 5pm, depending on your deliveries that day.
A 3-day weekend giving you plenty of time to recover and come back to work refreshed each week.
HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE
With just a 4 day work week you’ll be free to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Spending precious time with your family or doing the activities that you love to do.
You can relax at the end of each week knowing you’ve got a few days to yourself.
Competitive Salary
While your salary will depend on experience, one of our delivery drivers can expect to earn between £30-32k per year. There will also be the opportunity for overtime if an additional driver is needed on a Friday.
Freedom & Independence
While escaping the monotony of working in an office, you’ll get the opportunity to explore different parts of the country, from Ilfracombe to the Isle of Wight and from Exeter to Oxford.
If time spent out on the open road listening to music or your favourite podcast sounds good, this could be the role for you.
REQUIREMENTS
Our delivery drivers need to have a Category C1 licence to be able to drive our 7.5 ton vehicles.
You’ll be given on the job training and only be out on the road on your own once you have you’re completely up to speed on what you need to do. No throwing you in at the deep end..
In addition to a C1 licence for a 7.5 ton vehicle our delivery drivers will need to:
- Be 21 years of age minimum
- Have a clean drivers licence with no points
- Be polite and professional when delivering goods to customers
- Have a positive attitude to life
- Contact customers via phone/message upon arrival of their delivery
- Be comfortable driving for extended periods of time
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TRIPLE EIGHT DELIVERY DRIVER
You’ll start the day by loading up your company-provided vehicle with the pre-picked frozen, fresh and dry goods ordered by our customers.
After conducting your vehicle checks it’s time to hit the road following a pre planned delivery route to one of the areas we supply.
Once you arrive at your first drop you’ll need to unload the goods onto a trolley and wheel it into the customers pre-chosen delivery spot.
Once you’ve obtained proof of delivery that’s it, job done, time to move on to the next drop.
At the end of each day you’ll be required to spend a few minutes filling out an end of day sheet as well as unload & document any returns before signing off for the day.
It really is as simple as that!
